We’re delighted to confirm the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with HORIBA MIRA to work together on how to support the market with data-driven optimisation around whole vehicle calibrations in the cloud and to support the migration toward Software-Defined Vehicles.
Using Intrepid’s data collection and cloud analytic tools, we are bringing the results of several customer and internal research projects to jointly offer OEM and Tier 1 customers a faster time to market with reduced numbers of prototypes, thanks to advanced machine learning-based scenario generators, digital twins and calibration optimisers – all backed up by cloud-based hosting.
By incorporating these advanced tools that support virtual testing, simulation, and optimisation, OEMs can achieve 20-30% savings in project costs, while significantly reducing the need for costly physical prototypes and extended field trials.
Carl Hills, UK Managing Director Intrepid Control Systems said: “We are thrilled to collaborate with HORIBA MIRA, we are combining Intrepid’s advanced data logging and cloud analysis tools with our extensive experience in vehicle network solutions. This collaboration is designed to help OEMs and suppliers accelerate their development timelines, cut costs, and pave the way for Software-Defined Vehicles. Together, we are making strides towards smarter, data-driven calibration and a more sustainable future for the entire automotive ecosystem.”
Nick Tebbutt, Head of Global Strategic Sales – Vehicle Technologies, HORIBA MIRA said: “We’re extremely pleased to be working more closely with Intrepid Control Systems on this opportunity. As the industry looks to develop vehicles in a more sustainable but faster manner, both companies can help provide optimal calibrations designed for global deployment quicker and earlier on in the project, resulting in big savings for our customers.”
