The PC connection to the hardware is USB. If this is the first time that the hardware has been connected to the PC, Windows will ask for drives. Drivers for the hardware can be found in two locations. The Vehicle Spy 3 installation will install the drivers for the hardware. Drivers can also be found on the CD that ships with the hardware.
