Function Block Editor

The Function Blocks editor shows the activity of each function block while Vehicle Spy is running.  Columns display the Description, Type, Start Type, Running/Stopped state, and current Status.  For Script blocks, the Status information comes from any comments typed on the script steps.  Capture and Playback blocks display different Status information regarding message counts. 

The four columns between the Running and Status columns contain gray buttons for manually controlling each of the function blocks. 

• Play button - starts any function block type.  If offline, Vehicle Spy will go online automatically and start the function block.



• Stop button - stops any function block type.



• Trigger button - triggers a Capture type function block that is waiting for a trigger.



• Save button - forces a Capture type function block to save its capture buffer.
