Signal Plot |
Use the Signal Plot (Figure 1) to plot Vehicle Spy signals in real time. Table 1: Signal Plot Toolbar Controls Last Update:

Signal Plot uses "Signal Groups", or collections of signals, to plot.
New groups are created by clicking on "+" and groups are removed by clicking "-"
.
Signal groups are edited by clicking the "Select Signals" button and using the Expression Builder.
To choose a different signal group, select it from the drop down list to display that group in the plot.
The Plot Signals button creates another Signal Plot window.
The Logging button opens the Logging view and the logging status is displayed just below the button.

The Signal Plot tool bar
gives different features for displaying and saving your data.
Table 1 describes each of the Signal Plot toolbar controls.
The data plot is seen in the bottom section of the window

The plot axes
can be clicked on and dragged to stretch or zoom them.

Description
TrackWhen enabled, the plot will scroll to show the most recent data.
PauseStops scrolling so past data can be reviewed.
Scroll AxesWhen selected, dragging the mouse on an axis will scroll the axis in that direction.
Zoom AxesWhen selected, dragging the mouse on an axis will zoom the axis proportionally.
Zoom OutZooms out from the plot.
Zoom InZooms in on the plot.
Zoom BoxAfter clicking this button, left click and drag a box around an area to zoom in on.
The plot will then zoom in to show only what was surrounded by the box.
CursorThis button enables cursors that can be dragged to make measurements from the plot.
PropertiesThis button brings up a dialog to configure the plot.
Copy chartCopies a bitmap of the plot to the Windows Clipboard so it can be pasted into another application.
Save ChartThis allow the chart to be saved as a *.BMP, *.PNG, *.EMF, or *.JPG.
Print ChartOpens a print dialog for printing the plot.
Cursor ModeDrop down selects what type of measurement can be made with the cursors on the plot.
Time SpanControls the number of seconds to display on the graph.
