Graphical Panels: Format a Tool Group

To format a group of tools on your panel you first have to select a group of tools.  Click and drag a selection box around all of the tools you wish to format.  (You can also press/hold the Ctrl key and left click to add tools to a group one at a time.)  Boxes will appear at the corners of tools to indicate that they have been selected. 

After a group of tools are selected, press the Format button located on the right side of the toolbar near the bottom of the screen (Figure 1).  You will see two menus, one for aligning tools and another for making tools the same size.

Make Same Size: These options will quickly change the size of a group of tools.  You can make tools all have the same Width, Height, or Both.  This is especially useful when working with tools of the same type like a group of LEDs (Figure 2: ).

Align: These options will align the edges or centerlines of a group of tools.  You can align them vertically to the Left, Right, or Center.  You can also align them horizontally to the Top, Middle, or Bottom.  For instance, selecting Top will make all tools move so their "tops" all fall on the same imaginary line (Figure 2: ).
