Graphical Panels: Tools |
Many tools are available in Graphical Panels view. They are listed with short descriptions here in Table 1.

| LED/Light | 
| Displays an on/off value for a data item with a selectable color. |
| Displays user defined text or a data item as text. The display has an alternate data format property which allows you to format the item's data in a different format than is specified in the data item. For example, a signal may define an engineering format "0 eng". You could display this data value in hex. | |
| Meter | 
| Indicates an analog value from a data item with a meter needle. You must set a range for the display. |
| Starts, stops, triggers or saves a Function Block when clicked. | |
| Controls an assigned transmit message. Transmit when clicked or start/stop periodic transmission based on the "TxType" property. | |
| Assigns a true/false value to a data item. Can be a momentary push button or a latching toggle button. | |
| This button allows the user to see a user file dialog. | |
| Starts, stops, or saves a Diagnostic Job when clicked. | |
| Indicates an analog value of a data item with a sliding bar. You must set a range for the display. | |
| Knob | 
| Assigns an analog value to a data item. You must set a range for the display. |
| Grid | 
| Displays a grid of data items as text. |
| Assign a numeric value to a data item. | |
| Graph | 
| Creates a Signal Plot window on a graphical panel. |
| Assign text to a data item. | |
| Display an image or decorative color rectangle. Also useful in transparent mode as a border around other tools. A signal can be assigned to change which image to display from a library of images. | |
| Provides a list of items for a user to select. Each item is a text - value pair. When the text is selected the value is assigned to a data item. | |
| Creates a message history window in a graphical panel. | |
| Displays a Flash SWF Video in a graphical panel. Flash videos can also be designed to interact with signals from Vehicle Spy. |
