Main Menu and Toolbar

The Data Analysis main menu and its associated Main Toolbar are shown in Figure 1.

Table 1 gives descriptions for each command found on the Data Analysis Main Menus.  Commands with icons are also buttons on the Main Toolbar.

"Data" Menu
Open Opens a data file if none are already opened.
      Close Closes all currently opened data files.
Save Saves formatting and screen configuration information as well as all data to a data file in Matlab File format (*.mat).  This will not overwrite the existing data file unless a Matlab file was already opened.
      Save As Same as the Save command, but allows you to select a new file name before saving.
Add a File to Current Plot Opens dialog to select and add a data file to the existing plot.  This command has the same effect as selecting multiple files in the data file list.
Remove Active File from Plot Removes the active file from the plot.  The active file is selected by clicking on its numbered tab in the channel list area.  This command will not remove the first file opened in a series.
Save Data to a Subset File Opens dialog to save portions of a large data file to a different data file or to save a data file in a different format.
Print Opens dialog to print the current plot.  Can select printer, print range, and number of copies to print.
      Print Preview Uses the plotter area to show a print preview of the current plot.
      Print Setup Opens dialog to select network, printer, paper size, and paper orientation.
      Previously opened data files Convenient quick pick list to open previously opened data files.
"Edit" Menu
Copy Copies current plot to the clipboard so that it can be pasted into other programs.
      Find in Files TBD
"Show" Menu
      Enable/Disable Checkboxes Toggles the display on/off for many areas in Data Analysis.
Output Bar Toggles the Output Bar on/off.
      Zoom In TBD
      Undo Zoom TBD
      Refresh Screen TBD
View Cursor Position Values Toggles the mouse cursor position values on/off in the plotter area.
View Time Cursors Toggles both vertical line cursors on/off in the plotter area.
View Data Points Toggles plotter highlighting of the individual data points for all plotted channels.
      Next Bookmark Jumps plotter x-axis to the next bookmark.
      Prev Bookmark Jumps plotter x-axis back to the previous bookmark.
      Set Bookmark Sets a bookmark at the current plotter starting point (same as the "S"tart value on the X-Axis Input Dialog).  The bookmark is added to the list on the blue flag tab in the Tool Dialog area.  Click on a bookmark in the list to quickly shift the left edge of the plotter to that value on the x-axis.
      Delete Bookmark Deletes bookmark selected on the blue flag tab in the Tool Dialog area.
"Actions" Menu
      Change X-Axis Limits Opens a window for the X-Axis Input Dialog.
      Remove selected channels
       from plot
Does exactly what it says. :)
"Annotation" Menu
Add Data Relative Text Adds text label on the plot that is positioned relative to a data channel.*  Text will move with the channel that it is linked to. 
Add Data Relative Arrow Adds arrow on the plot that is positioned relative to a data channel.*  Arrow will move with the channel that it is linked to.
Add Screen Relative Text Adds text label on the plot that is positioned relative to the screen.*  Text will stay in place even if channel plots are shifted around.

*To EDIT all forms of text labels and arrows:  Click on text/arrow to select it.  Mouse cursor will change to relocation mode.  Click & drag text/arrow to new location or tap keyboard Delete to remove it.  Double click on text/arrow to edit its properties.
"Configurations" Menu
      Start new configuration Resets configuration to default values to start a new configuration.
      Save current configuration Save the current configuration to a *.cfg file.
      Load configuration Load a previously saved configuration *.cfg file.
      Options Opens the Plotter Options dialog.
